Why go to Calaguas Island?   1. Crystal clear water      First thing that will catch your attention in this place is its crystal clear water. And when I say crystal clear, I really MEAN it. Our Japanese friend even compared its water to that of El Nido Palawan’s own. Little fishes could also be seen near the shore, a proof on how clean the water is. It was simply beautiful.      Seeing this from afar... we wanted to jump out of our boat instantly! The obligatory selfie with mother nature. No photo could ever give justice to the island's clear water... it was... surreal.  She was beautiful... period.     2. Fine white sand      I could compare the sand here to powdered milk. It’s very fine, purely white and smooth to touch.  Other than Boracay's sand, it is indeed the best I have ever walked on so far… no pebbles at all.     ...

     So this would be my first blog ever... and the first thing I thought of writing about was nothing else but my adventure in Sagada. Why? Read on. APPETIZER      Sagada  is a fifth class  municipality  in the  province  of  Mountain Province , Philippines . According to the 2010 census, it has a population of 11,244 people.      It is located 275 kilometers (171 mi) north of  Manila  (taking at least 12 to 15 hours by bus), 140 kilometers (87 mi) from  Baguio , and it is adjacent to  Bontoc , the provincial capital.      Sagada is famous for it's  hanging coffins . This is a traditional way of burying people that is still utilized.
